Life is Just Too Short To Use One Color Pen...

...Or the same width, or brand, or nib style for that matter.
I don't always have all the time that I would like for fun things that I enjoy. When time is precious and I want to journal, I think of things to do to that are easy to make a page fun for me to do, interesting to look at, and maybe even highlight writing I want to remember or come back to.
The first easy idea...Pens...pens in loads of different colors, hues, tips and widths.

I have been collecting pens is all pen varieties for a very long time now and rationalize it as a "safe" hording item. I mean, no one has come to the house yet and not been able to find me...so I figure I'm still OK.
There is nothing like color variety on the page, even if it only involves some torn bits of magazines and a few different pens colors.
I tend to set up 2 to 3 backgrounds at a time, and grab a few pens to take with me, to a park or coffee shop, to then write. It makes my day complete. I used to be able to find pens anywhere...now my favorite place is a wonderful Japanese pen company called, Jet Pens.
My second quick idea for awesome journal pages...borders. More next week...
