List it Tuesday, January 22, 3013, A Little Change is Good

Funny how things get done just as you think you are going out of your mind.
List-it Tuesday is so much fun, and a great way to jump start my writing that I try to participate no matter what kind of a time-bind I'm in.
So here we are...Aimee  over at Artsyville suggested listing about change. Not physical, mental, or spiritual change...but DECOR!!! (girl after my own heart)
Since I only have one room, this is not only easy, I've already been working on this for quite a while. I am going backwards...I'm resizing from a house to the upstairs of a shared house. I can do this.
First and foremost, get a a bamboo tray for tea in the work area and stop spilling already (got that a Target on the way home...thank you)
Get another bookcase and stop piling books on the floor, and get it long and short enough to fit at the end of my bed...maybe with a cushion...hmmm.
A large bin behind my couch for my yoga doo-dads
Add one more storage piece.
Quit being afraid to get rid of inherited things
Make space on my desk so I can USE it
Get a paper storage bin thin enough to fit under my couch
Those were the big ones!
Hop over to Aimee's and add your link to her link.
Change is Good.
Now, off to finish a story!

great list. I need to get a storage bin for my art room. Can't tell my DH to pick up his den if I don't pick up MY room. Love the colors in your art journal. {:-D

End of the bed is a good place for bookcase storage I wouldn't have thought to use that area. Smart thinking.

Wonderful list! I totally understand about the fear of getting rid of inherited things. or even things that at one timeI thought were fabulous, but now do not have the same sense for. or things that maybe one day I will use even though I havent been using it at all lately :)

Before you get rid of inherited things snap pictures of the items attach them to a notebook page and journal about them so you have the memory without all the clutter.

Thank you Phoenix! I know, I have too many things that meant a lot to somebody else. Does that sound like whining? I suppose I should feel grateful.

I applaud your ability to whittle down to one room. You are my inspiration! Giving up inherited things is hard for me too..I agree with Mary, do the journal thing....

That's a great list. :) Hope you get most of it done soon but I think desk space is overrated. :)

Natasha...that's for sure! : )

Well, the whittling down was more of a need and not a want...I moved from a big house to the upstairs of a duplex...not my idea, BUT, has worked out as far as keeping what is truly important!
