Renewal is my word for the year and I've already devoted several journal pages to this word. Finally I've had some time to collage my Vision Board (or Treasure Map) for 2013...this is a small image of a very large board. I've found that creating it is more cathartic than the images themselves. The process of picking images, tearing them, placing them on the board...quickly, without time for too much thought, brought up a list of stream of conscienceness words:
it starts with getting more sleep
eating healthy
read more good books
go back to the beginning to where it once worked
when there was joy in small things
be a part of and participate in nature
find the key to joy
keep and eye on, keep and eye on, keep and eye on....
write more
keep pets in my life
keep things simple
stay active
keep and eye on, keep an eye on, keep and eye on...
take more photos
get more sleep

head back to bed
and get some more sleep:)
thanks for the nourishing share,
Jennifer
This is wonderful!!
These two...
go back to the beginning to where it once worked
when there was joy in small things
...really resonated with me right now. I know how it feels to be in a place where I need to do both.
Oh, there's something about going back to where it once worked... this is going to have me thinking deep thoughts, Lynn! I'll blame you, of course. But ... yes.
And sleep seems to be elusive where I am at the moment. So I'm right there with you on that one!
We could all use a little more of these things in our lives
the image board is a neat idea. It reminds me of an exercise I did with The Artist's Way Workbook, of collaging favorite images. Just today I took my collage (that's taped together, I suppose...) and copied some of the images on a color xerox machine for a class I'm taking! {:-D
Lynn, I think renewal is an amazing word. Fresh and promising.
Great list Lynn. My word for the year is peaceful.
No pun intended/hate to bring up a sore subject/how did your back get injured? How do you cope?
Jennifer, yes MORE SLEEP! It is definitely on my list this year. So many changes, and my batteries need recharging. : )
Lynn
Thanks Jes, it's a fun project to do with friends too... I'll add a better photo of it when I'm done.
Lynn
I think everybody at one time in their life has a feeling of being a little over or under "whelmed"...and the body is being asked to keep up, when the pace is increased. Time to rewind!
Lynn
Oh dear...yes, you can blame me, it's ok : )
And sleep...wow, has that ever changed! I used to be able to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow...and our roof was in such a mess (at the time) that the rain just poured right into a number of buckets we set out the night before... No problem...I slept right through. Not any more. I'm up at the crack of 2, then 3, then 4...so irritating : )
That's for sure Mary!
Dear Storybeader...yes, it is exactly the same thing we did during the artists way...now I just do one every year. It's fun...and very telling. : )
Lynn
Ana, that's exactly what I'm hoping for!
Lynn
TR, Peaceful is a great word...it conjures up wonderful images of candles...which btw just spelled checked to caskets...LOL!! Not that peaceful!
Lynn
Cheryl...funny thing, I have a number of small bulging disks caused by running and arthritis (that I didn't know I had). At first if hurt so bad I couldn't even breathe. I've been getting acupuncture and I'm getting much better, thanks!
Lynn
Vision boards are always fun to make. Thanks for sharing! :)
